Quick & Easy Lighting Blog Site.

The Quick & Easy Lighting Blog Website is an information haven created to pull SEO traffic as a source of income. After being given a brief, I had to create and maintain this blog website. Utilising, adapting my improving my template custom wordpress theme, this website boasts speeds often hitting 100 measured by google speed index, creating a fantastic foundation for a SEO based blog site.

To create this fairly complex yet user friendly site structure I had to adapt the usual wordpress CMS to fit the needs of the brief. This sometimes meant creating custom plugins to go alonside the wordpress site. These include:

• A feature plugin (github.com/josiahorange/orangefeature) which adapts the wordpress CMS allowing the owner of the site to choose featured posts to be shown from the ideas section of the site.
• Internal Links plugin (https://github.com/josiahorange/internalinks ) that allows site owner to create connections betweeen words mentioned within the blog pages and links to inside and outside the blog site. As well as giving you statistics on the each blog page suck as the different links used, word count etc.
